| - What to Expect at a Gaits of Gold Certified Training Partner Clinic
-
- - Joy Hyska will be the instructor at each clinic. Joy has received personal training and
- certification from Brenda Imus. The clinic format will be similar to the clinics personally conducted by Brenda.
- - Introduction to gait recognition.
- - Mechanics of biting and saddle fitting.
- - Evaluation of each horse's conformation and innate way of going.
- - Individual evaluation of saddle and bridle fit.
- - Assessment of gaited equitation skills, simple corrections as needed.
- - Goal setting for each horse and rider.
- - Specific gait training exercises.
- - Individual attention to each horse and rider to deal with their unique issues.
- - Question and answer sessions with clinic participants and observers.
- - At most clinics, but not all, (such as when air travel is necessary), the Imus 4-Beat saddle and related tack will be available to try on your horse. A clinic conducted by Brenda Imus has a much larger inventory of demonstration products than a smaller Certified Trainer Clinic. No actual products will be sold at the Certified Trainer clinics. All sales are done directly through Gaits of Gold.

-
- - Payment for participating in or auditing a clinic may be made by check or money order. Contact Joy by e-mail or phone for further information.
- - A 50% Non-refundable deposit must be made to reserve your spot. Reservation space is limited. If the clinic is full, a waiting list will be in effect in case of cancellations.
- - The balance of the clinic fee must be paid 30 days in advance of the clinic date. This advance payment allows enough time to fill this spot in the event of a cancellation.
- - A minimum of 6 riders is required to conduct a clinic.
- - Participant horses must be at least 4 years of age, well broke, and ready to ride.
- - No stallions are allowed.
- - It is the sole responsibility of Joy Hyska to determine if a horse should be excused due to dangerous behavior or unsoundness, and she will not be held liable for such a decision. If the horse/participant is unable to complete the clinic, there will be no refunds.
- - Each participant may bring one horse to be worked with in the clinic, no exceptions. We advise that you bring enough feed for the duration of your stay. The hosting facility will collect stall fees, usually on the first day of the event. Be prepared to pay your stall fees at that time. Stall cleaning and feeding is the responsibility of the participant unless other arrangements are made. Of course while you are involved in the event you are expected to be respectful of the facility and other participants and horses.
- - Meals and drinks are usually the responsibility of each attendee. Check with the contact person at the host facility regarding this.
- - You must have current health papers with immunizations, health certificate, as well as

- Private Clinics
-
- A private clinic would be considered any event that would require specific and individual travel to a location not included in a planned Gaits & More tour route. Such as a club, for example, that has a pre-arranged number of riders for a clinic. The clinic charge would be a flat fee of $500.00 per day, (2 day minimum), plus transportation fee (travel expense or airfare charges), lodging, meals and bottled water for the clinician, and daily transportation to and from the clinic. No minimum number of riders, 12 maximum. The contact person for the participants would be responsible for all arrangements, and reservations.
-
- Private Mini-Clinic
-
- A one -on -one 2 day Mini-clinic going over all the same info as a full clinic. It would address you and your horses specific gaiting and training issues.
-
- Private Lessons
-
- $50.00 per hour
- $40.00 per hour semi-private (2-3 riders)
- Travel expense is $1.00 per mile, one way.
