Friends and visitors,

I want to sincerely say "Thank-you" to those who sent prayers and support my way during my battle with cancer this past year. I am truly blessed to be healthy and back riding again this year.

I am very pleased to have completed my Level 2 Certification with Brenda and Gaits of Gold and am looking forward to meeting many fellow horse-lovers and their equine friends in the year to come!

It is GREAT to be "back in the saddle" again!

TESTIMONIALS

I waited 45 years to finally buy a horse of my own. I took a few lessions on a quarter horse. I loved it, but the trot was hard on my back. I found Sundance, a Rocky Mountain gaited horse. Wow what a nice gliding ride. After a month or so at home he started getting disrespectful, pushy with his head, and mouthy to name a few things. This went on for a year and a half. By now he was barn sour also. I was at my wits end. That changed after my husband brought home a flyer from our local feed store. It had Joy Hyska's name on it for help with problem gaited horses. I called and she came right out. She is so patient and easy to get along with.  She did more for Sunny and I in one month then anyone else. We put him in a comfort bit and that help stop his head bobbing. We made progress with each lesson. Our last lession was so great. We put an Imus 4 beat saddle on Sunny and it was like magic. We just seemed to really click,I almost cried. I had back surgery the following week,so I can't ride for awhile. I can't hardly wait for warmer weather and for alot more lession times with Joy. She is an awsome teacher, trainer.

After purchasing my 4-beat saddle in May of last year, I didn't feel confident that it fit properly or even if I had rigged it correctly because my Spotted Saddle Horse, Cherokee, seemed a little awkward with it. Although the staff at Gaits of Gold were very helpful in answering my questions, I still felt a little unsure. I was so excited when I saw that one of Brenda's Certified Trainers, Joy Hyska, was located in North Judson, Indiana near Tippecanoe State Park. I immediately contacted Joy who offered to meet me at the park. I was so impressed with her professionalism and knowledge of the products and how easily she explained anything I needed to know. Cherokee's saddle was fine as he just needed a little time to adjust to it. I felt so much better about everything after our meeting. With Joy's help we are now also using the comfort bit and having wonderful and comfy trail rides.
Thanks, Joy!

What a great day it was working with Joy. My horse, Beau, and I got lots of information to think about and tips on how to make his gait the best it can be. I especially liked the conformation study she did before we started working. Now that I know what my horse is capable of, it makes trying to help him achieve that gait even more fun!

Hi Joy,
I audited your clinic at Tanque Verde stables last weekend, and took a lesson on my black walker, Dixie. Wanted to let you know that I rode her about 2 hours today and we walked or did a running walk the entire time! She stops in one step, quiet as a statue!
Thanks for all your help and insight.

Joy,
Thank you for providing us with a wonderful clinic. I know everyone had a great time, learned a lot, and went home feeling eager to get started . There was a lot of information and a wide range of topics. Lots of good questions. You were so patient and knowledgeable that we all were extremely comfortable. Thank you for putting up with Silver Dollar and me. He is very young and inexperienced and I am very old and inexperienced but we learned a lot and have a ton of exercises to work on together. I hope the heat did not take too much out of you. I have to be very careful myself so I know what it can do to your whole system.  We are already looking forward to your next visit and in November the weather is much nicer.
Thank you again.
